Dante Márquez, aka Dante Arcade, is a Spanish urban artist based in Barcelona whose career began in the 90s, exploring graffiti influenced by urban culture, anime, and comics.
Over the years, he has evolved into creating large-scale murals, developing a self-taught, distinctive style that merges retro influences with a contemporary vision.
His vibrant style combines the arcade aesthetics of video games with iconic pop culture references, crafting dystopian scenarios that challenge dominant narratives and reflect on the impact of media on collective perception.
Dante bridges nostalgia and futurism, exploring the interplay of technology, memory, and culture. His works invite viewers to reconsider their relationship with media and imagine new possibilities through a visual language that blends the classic with the modern, reviving old trends in a contemporary
context.
